Beloit Tutoring Center

St. John’s Lutheran Church, located at 1000 Bluff St in Beloit has graciously offered their classroom space to Rock County Advocates for In-Person Schools so that we can, in turn, offer programs to Beloit School District kids.
The activities that we will offer include help with online learning and homework, music lessons, art lessons, and encouraging kids to interact with their friends and fellow students. This is huge for the kids!
There are 8 eight classroom spaces as well as other rooms. We have desks, chairs, chalkboards, internet access, and other things you need to help these kids. The generosity of St. John’s is simply enormous! We are offering this service free of charge.
We will offer this service informally as a group and need volunteers who are willing to work with these kid about 1-2 hours per week until the public school system opens. So far, we have about 15 volunteers but we need more.
You don’t have to be a teacher or other professional. Bring your own background to the table. We have a professional musicians who are donating their time.
Please be assured that we are doing this safely and productively. We’ll observe all of the social distancing, mask, and hand sanitizer requirements.
Please complete the form below to indicate your interest in volunteering as a parent tutor or to register your child in the program.
Thank you!
